Colla IV

Description

Colla IV known more simply as Colla, was a terrestrial planet in Inner Rim Territories, situated at the coordinates N-9 on the Standard Galactic Grid. The toothspike raptor was a creature native to the world.

History

On Colla IV, the resident Colicoid Creation Nest, a manufacturing company ran by the native Colicoids, were contracted by the Trade Federation corporation to create army droids. The Colicoids subsequently designed the the heavy duty destroying machine known as the droideka in their own image. They then built them and sent them in shipments to the Trade Federation, which initially paid them in exotic meats.

The Trade Federation became a key part of the Separatist Alliance, which was founded following the Raxus Address in 24 BBY. On top of the droidekas, the Colicoid Creation Nest produced additional droids and vehicles for the Separatists, including the Pistoeka sabotage droids and the Trident-class assault ships. The Colicoids designed the Droch-class boarding ships with a hull based loosely off of the toothspike raptor. They additionally manufactured the droid tri-fighter in cooperation with Phlac-Arphocc Automata Industries, the starfighter's three-armed design mimicking the skull features of one of its Colla IV's most ferocious predators.

Inhabitants

Colla IV was home to the Colicoids, a sentient insectoid species known for having completely unfeeling and murderous ways.
