It was part of material reprinted from the 2000 reference book Inside the Worlds of Star Wars: Episode I, which was written by Kristin Lund, illustrated by Richard Chasemore and Hans Jenssen, and marked the first mention of the building in the Star Wars Legends continuity. It then appeared for the first time in Legends in The Clone Wars: Decide Your Destiny: Crisis on Coruscant, a 2010 installment in the Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Decide Your Destiny book series written by Jonathan Green.
