Cilas Veckon was an officer of the Imperial Navy during the Galactic Civil War.
Early in the Galactic Civil War, Admiral Cilas Veckon acted as Chief of the Recruitment office of the Imperial Navy. As the war with the Rebel Alliance intensified after the Battle of Yavin, Admiral Veckon initiated a large recruitment program of pilots for the Imperial Starfighter Corps. His office identified skilled spacers throughout the galaxy and sent strongly worded recruitment messages to potential recruits. Furthermore, Veckon placed Commanders Gunham, Zhanks and Landau on Tatooine, Corellia and Naboo, respectively, to oversee major pushes in recruitment. The recruitment program culminated in 1 ABY, resulting in a new batch of pilots joining Black Epsilon, Storm Squadron and the Imperial Inquisition's squadron.
Cilas Veckon was mentioned in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts, prior to its closure on December 15, 2011. Admiral Cilas Veckon appeared in in-game email sent to players to introduce the release of the expansion pack Jump to Lightspeed on October 27, 2004.
