Outside of Star Wars, Nolan has appeared in many theater productions in London's West End and New York City's Broadway, including 1984, War Horse, Stones in his Pockets, Macbeth (with Patrick Stewart) and The Seagull (with Carey Mulligan, Kristen Scott Thomas, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Peter Sarsgaard).
