Chicken in the Pot

In the making of the song, composer John Powell was inspired by early concept art depicting the character Luleo Primoc as a chicken-like creature. Musician Louis Prima Jr. served as the alto temp voice during the song's production. The in-universe male singer is named Luleo Primoc, a tuckerization of Prima's name.

While Prima initially sang in a language that composer John Powell found on the Internet, a linguist converted the lyrics to another language and Prima re-recorded the song. In the final cut of the film, Primoc was performed with a lower pitch by another singer at director Ron Howard's request. While the film's initial soundtrack album release features an alto voice for "Chicken in the Pot," its deluxe edition features the low-pitched version.

performed the female voice of "Chicken in the Pot," named Aurodia Ventafoli in-universe, while Sema-Tawi Smart acted as Ventafoli in the film.

Expanding on the chicken-like Luleo Primoc singing "Chicken in the Pot" in-universe, author Adam Bray wrote in the 2019 reference book Ultimate Star Wars, New Edition that Primoc also sang "Carve Your Name in My Heart" and "Your Love is Gravy." An additional third title, "Stuffed With Your Love," was not included in the published book.
