Chatterplants were a type of carnivorous plant that grew on Arbiflux. The plants had the ability to produce a chattering sound when disturbed. While living on Arbiflux, Lona Aphra encouraged her daughter Chelli to use chatterplants to guard their farm's nunas, though the younger Aphra had difficulty doing so, due to the plants biting her. Chelli often spent time counting dust motes on the chatterplants.
