After Eightyem gave the weapon to Kaan, he provided it to Roondha, who then attempted to kill Jabba, but it was thwarted by the bounty hunter Bane Malar. Roondha was later brought before Jabba, and informed he would be killed swiftly if he gave up the name of who had provided him the blaster. Roondha responded in Ithorese that it was Kaan, but Eightyem mistranslated it purposely to say that Roondha had said he would rather die horribly than betray a confidence. The Ithorian then pointed out it was Eightyem, but again the droid lied about what he had said, and informed Jabba that he had said something unkind about the Hutt's mother. This enraged Jabba, who had Roondha fed to the sarlacc at the Great Pit of Carkoon.
