Carrivar

Carrivar was an astronomical object in the Unknown Regions' Carrivar system. The sentient species Hemes Arbora was native to Carrivar but eventually abandoned the celestial body. The Hemes Arbora migrated first to the planet Umaren'k in the Umaren'k system and later to the planet Osseriton. In 80 BBY, Succate, a chronicler from Carrivar, assembled the largest collection of information on the Sorcerers of Rhand, a group of beings who believed in the philosophical concept known as the Dark.

By 28 ABY, the position of Carrivar was noted on a two-dimensional star map that was included in a book kept at the Expeditionary Library on the planet Csilla. That year, while searching the library's records for information about Zonama Sekot, a sentient planet capable of traveling through space, Jedi Master Saba Sebatyne perused the book and later showed the map featuring Carrivar to the girl Wynssa Fel while telling her about the Hemes Arbora.

Carrivar was first mentioned in Refugee, the second novel in the Force Heretic trilogy of the Star Wars: The New Jedi Order series. The novel was written by Sean Williams and Shane Dix and published in 2003. The 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas placed the Carrivar system, and therefore Carrivar itself, in grid square G-9.
