The gas carbon monoxide (CO) was a molecule composed of one carbon atom and one oxygen atom. It was poisonous to inhale for some species. In 43.5 ABY, ex-Admiral Cha Niathal ran a gas line of carbon monoxide into her water tank to commit suicide.
