Candlewick flower

When Princess Leia Organa was a small child she used to believe that the glowing from the pulmonodes in the chest of her mother, Queen Breha Organa, was a bouquet of blooming candlewick flowers. Even after realizing that the glow was her mother's pulmonodes, even meeting many others with the same mechanical organ replacements, Leia still harbored affection for the flowers as to her they would always symbolize magic and love.

Alderaanian settlers to the planet Birren introduced native Alderaanian plants, including the candlewick flower. After the destruction of Alderaan, Birren was one of the few places they could be found growing in the wild.
