In the Star Wars Legends continuity, the planet Cadinth was introduced in Mission to Lianna, a 1992 supplement authored by Joanne E. Wyrick for use with Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game published by West End Games. It later made its first appearance in "The Battle of Cadinth," a short story authored by Bill Smith and published in the second issue of the Star Wars Galaxy Magazine series released by The Topps Company, Inc. in January 1995.
