The CR-20 troop carrier originated in Star Wars: Clone Wars, a Legends animated television series produced by Cartoon Network. In the series, it was used by the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars. The ship was canonized through its inclusion in Disney Interactive's mobile strategy game Star Wars: Commander.
