CIS mobile command center

The mobile command center was a type of base that the Confederacy of Independent Systems utilized during the Clone Wars against the Galactic Republic.

C-9979 landing crafts had a complement of one mobile command center, and for the Separatist Droid Army's operations on Maridun and Felucia, the landing crafts' mobile command center contained within its walls a single Separatist command center, which was overseen by B1-series battle droids.

The mobile command bases were walled outposts that were large enough to house a single C-9979 landing craft, a Sheathipede-class transport shuttle, a single Separatist command center, as well as three Armored Assault Tank Mk Is, several B1-series battle droids, B2-series super battle droids, and DSD1 dwarf spider droids, while still maintaining enough space for cargo. A single mobile command center was stored aboard a C-9979.

In 21 BBY, during the Clone Wars between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems, Separatist forces under the command of Neimoidian General Lok Durd traveled to the Outer Rim world of Maridun in hopes of finding a world suitable enough to test the Defoliator, a weapon developed by Durd. The Neimoidian and his forces, after arriving on the planet and ransacking a village of Lurmen, proceeded to establish a command base on Maridun.

Durd's base was later infiltrated by Jedi Generals Anakin Skywalker, Aayla Secura, Jedi Commander Ahsoka Tano, Clone Commander CC-5052 and Clone Captain CT-7567, who had previously crash landed on Maridun after their losses at the battle of the planet Quell, where they sought to steal a ship from Durd. Entering the base, the Jedi and clone troopers proceeded to destroy all droids stationed around the base's perimeter, before the group found two deflector shield generators and commandeered Durd's shuttle, where they subsequently returned to the Lurmen village in hopes of defending it from the approaching Separatist forces and the Defoliator.

Later, on the planet Felucia, the T-series tactical droid TZ-33 utilized a mobile command center. During the Second Battle of Felucia in 20 BBY, the Kaleesh Separatist General Grievous dispatched a C-9979 landing craft to reinforce the tactical droid's forces, however, the base was later taken by Republic forces led by Generals Skywalker, Plo Koon, and Commander Tano, with all droid forces destroyed as a result.

The mobile command center first appeared in "Defenders of Peace," the fourteenth episode of the animated television series Star Wars: The Clone Wars first season, which originally aired on January 23, 2009.
