The C-73 was relatively slow and unmaneuverable and was armed with a pair of wing-tipped laser cannons.
This fighter was one of the last designs of Subpro Corporation before beginning a partnership with Incom Corporation for the Z-95 Headhunter project. The Separatists employed these craft in the crisis leading up to the Clone Wars. During the Imperial era, it continued to see use, but in limited quantity. Even older than the Z-95 Headhunter, it was mostly considered an antique, with some units in the Imperial Stardrive Museum of Coruscant.
It was used by the Virgillian Free Alignment as part of the outdated Virgillian Free Alignment Starfleet in the Virgillian Civil War, which occurred between 25 BBY and 4 ABY.
Around 2 ABY, it was only used by the m'Yalfor'ac Order of Guiteica as part of the planetary defense force.
