Broga was eventually captured by Lord Magras and forced to work for the Empire once more, but he was eventually rescued by the Republic.
Broga first appeared in the MMORPG Star Wars: The Old Republic, released by BioWare in 2011. He is the subject of both the Imperial and Republic storylines on the planet, acting as opposition to the Sith Empire during "Quesh Showdown" and as an ally to the Republic throughout their storyline. Though there is an option to slay Broga in the Imperial storyline, the Hutt appears alive and well in the Republic storyline, despite the latter taking place after the former, implying that the canonical choice was to spare Broga, even though dark side choices are presented as the default for Imperial characters, automatically being chosen should content involving them be skipped.
After striking down Berin Fraal, Imperial players are given the option to either spare Broga for light side alignment points or kill him for dark side alignment points. No matter the choices made, Broga will still appear in the Republic storyline, indicating the former to be the canonical option.
