Boonda's Moon was a moon located within Hutt Space. It was one of at least three moons that orbited the massive gas giant Kleeva.
C-3PO and R2-D2 landed in the recycling fields on Boonda's Moon
Boonda the Hutt won Kleeva's third moon in an illegal card game. He decided to make it his home and named it after himself.
Several years prior to 5.5 BBY, Boonda secretly ended his criminal career, though he encouraged others to believe that he was still a crime lord, especially the other Hutts, who believed that running an honest business was the worst crime of all.
Boonda built a droid factory on his moon that was completely legal. His factory manufactured many different kinds of droids that were all well made and affordable. Over the years, Boonda's business turned out to be extremely successful and he became one of the wealthiest Hutts in the galaxy.
Later on, in the midst of 5.5 BBY, a droid rebellion occurred when protocol droid C-3PO led various disgruntled and angered droids against Boonda the Hutt. The rebellion ended with the freeing of all of the droids.
