Bob Vitas is best known as the author of the now-defunct The Completely Unofficial Star Wars Encyclopedia.
He was responsible for naming the Hamadryas species through the What's The Story? feature of Hyperspace, in the Cebann Veekan Databank entry. Bob Vitas is also credited in the "Author's Acknowledgements" section of Daniel Wallace's The New Essential Chronology and The New Essential Guide to Droids, and he contributed to and edited The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia. He went by the alias of Bubba1227 on StarWars.com and was known as Bobvitas on Wookieepedia.
The character Vob Bitas was named after Bob Vitas.
