Blaster gas

Blaster gas was a chemically-enhanced energy-rich fluid that was used in blasters. Stored in cartridges or ampoules, blaster gas was converted to a plasma-based particle beam which was then shot against targets to pierce or melt them. Types of blaster gas included tibanna, irolunn and eleton. More exotic blaster gases produced specialized effects, such as the armor-piercing sig -which forced the Galactic Republic to form the Bureau of Sig, Spice and Slavery to regulate its use.

The Imperial cadet Jai Kell once quipped that Sergeant Currahee lived on blaster gas and molten carbonite.
