Berk was a male human. He worked under the Zabrak Arane Oreida as one of her partisans during a mission on the planet Inusagi. As instructed, he approached Jyn Erso and uttered the code phrase "cloud" to receive his forged credentials, which allowed him to enter the chieftess's palace. There, he wielded an FC-1 flechette launcher alongside the other partisans and laid waste to the crowd inside the palace ballroom, killing both Inusagians and Imperials alike. Later he was hired by Saw Gerrera to find Erso in order to make sure she was alright following an incident on Tamsye Prime. Berk was instructed to not be seen and eventually found Erso on Skuhl, although she recognized him and confronted the man. Berk then told her why he was following her.
Years after, Erso again met him on Wobani where he, like her, had become a prisoner of the Galactic Empire. An Imperial admiral there shot him to death in order to intimidate the other prisoners.
