The Belderone Contention took place at some point between 1000 BBY and 900 BBY. It shared its name with Belderone, a planet located in the Belderone sector of the Outer Rim Territories.
The Galactic Republic interfered in this conflict as part of its Unification Campaigns. The Galactic Republic's Judicial Forces fought with distinction at the conclusion of the Belderone Contention, bringing the conflict to a violent end at the Battle of the Dandrian Ring.
Some time after the Belderone Contention and the Unification Campaigns, the Judicial Forces went on to play key roles in the Mandalorian Excision of 738 BBY, the Battles of the Black Delve in the 690s BBY, and the Utor Shock of 602 BBY.
The Belderone Contention was first mentioned in the 2012 reference book The Essential Guide to Warfare, authored by Jason Fry and Paul R. Urquhart.
