A minor battle between the Rebel Alliance and the Empire took place on Talus during the Galactic Civil War. The battle costed the Imperials an AT-AT, an AT-ST, and one TIE bomber.
When the TIE bomber was shot down by Rebels, the lucky pilot who piloted the vessel was able to safely crash-land near the battlefield instead of blowing up. The pilot contacted Imperial Officer Ceth Laike to request evacuation but he was assassinated on the spot by a group of Binayre scalawags looking for ship parts to salvage.

The Imperial vs. Rebel Battle was a point of interest in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts, prior to its closure on December 15, 2011. This point of interest was added to the game with the update named "Publish 1," released on August 3, 2003.
