The battle on Lokori was one of the last engagements of the Confederacy of Independent Systems in the Clone Wars against Galactic Republic fought on the planet of Lokori in 19 BBY.
For the last four months of the war, elements of the Confederacy navy had been attempting to break through the lunar picket lines of the Bright Nebula Fleet of the Republic Navy in a bid to attack the planet, only sporadically managing to launch attacks against the planet itself.
In the last days of the war, the Separatists broke through and managed to land on the surface, and had reached the point of breaking the Republic lines. Then, Supreme Chancellor Sheev Palpatine publicly declared himself as the galaxy's Emperor and transformed the Republic into the Galactic Empire.
Galen Walton Erso and his family, who had been living on Lokori during the prolonged battle, were caught up in the confusion as the battle droids landed and were nearly killed by a group of B1-series battle droids. They were only saved by the shutdown of the Droid Army ordered by Darth Vader on Mustafar. Nevertheless, Galen had nightmares about the battle droids for months.
