Battle of Trasemene

After the Clone Wars ended in a Confederate defeat in 19 BBY, Sy Myrthian ex-Senator Toonbuck Toora managed to gather an army of former Confederate forces and continued to fight on against the victorious Galactic Republic. That led to the Sy Myrthian Insurrection, when the Galactic Empire, the successor of the Republic, strove to destroy Toora's Separatist holdout army in the planet Sy Myrth's vicinity. After consecutive Imperial victories at the worlds of Diado and Metalorn, and later the siege of Sy Myrth itself, an Imperial task force of the 12th Sector Army under the command of Admiral Adar Tallon and General Jan Dodonna, led by the Praetor-class Star Battlecruiser Battalion, chased down Toora's flagship, Defiance's Banner.

After Toora's fleet was cornered at the planet Trasemene, the Battalions batteries ripped apart her fleet, resulting in an Imperial victory. Toora was killed during the battle.

The action at Trasemene ended the Sy Myrthian Insurrection, though Confederate followers still harassed the Empire from the Kreetan Narrows region in Hutt Space, which later led to the northern Hutt territories being annexed by the Imperials. Dodonna later won honors for his role in defeating Toora's resistance.

The battle was first mentioned in The Essential Guide to Warfare, an extensive guide dedicated to the conflicts in the galaxy, written by Jason Fry and Paul R. Urquhart, and released in 2012.
