Meanwhile, a Galactic Alliance team traveled to Galantos in hopes of reopening communications between Galantos and the galactic government. While there, however, the Yuuzhan Vong launched an assault on Galantos, hoping to capture slaves. The Fian government ordered the military to not attack the Yuuzhan Vong, but the Twin Suns Squadron of the Galactic Alliance defended the planet, and eventually a Fian Y-wing squadrons of Galantos Guard launched in spite of the Fian government's orders and helped the Twin Suns squadron defeat the Yuuzhan Vong forces. After the destruction of the Yuuzhan Vong slave ship and the reconnection of communications between Galantos and the Galactic Alliance, the Fian government declared its loyalty to the Galactic Alliance.
