A BattleChief was a capital ship classification used by the Grysk warlike species. The Grysk Prism-class BattleChiefs were equipped with engines and a hyperdrive and armed with spectrum lasers and missiles, and they were slightly smaller than a Chiss heavy cruiser and larger than a Chiss light cruiser or patrol cruiser.
In 18 BBY, eleven Prism-class BattleChiefs served as part of the fleet of the Grysk operative known as "Jixtus." They were all destroyed during a battle against a Chiss Ascendancy fleet over the Unknown Regions planet "Sunrise."
BattleChiefs appeared in the 2021 novel Thrawn Ascendancy: Lesser Evil, the final installment of Timothy Zahn's Star Wars: The Ascendancy Trilogy.
