A battery was a type of organizational formation within the Grand Army of the Republic and later within Imperial Army of the Galactic Empire. In the Galactic Republic, a battery could contain multiple RX-200 Falchion-class assault tanks along with their clone trooper pilots, with one such tank battery present in the aftermath of the Battle of Malastare and subdued the Zillo Beast. A battery within the army of the Empire could consist of several All Terrain Defense Turrets, their Imperial combat drivers, support troopers, and be equipped with a stockpile of ammunition. Additionally, an Imperial battery could also be organized as an infantry formation, with a full battery stationed on the mining planet Mapuzo.
