The Baskron Pirates were a pirate group that controlled a territory. In 3 ABY, the Rebel Alliance's 61st Mobile Infantry held a meeting between its top staff and the bridge crews of their two starships—the CR90 corvette Thunderstrike and the Braha'tok-class gunship Apailana's Promise—regarding a hypermatter leak from the Thunderstrike. In the meeting, two crew members from the Apailana's Promise proposed traveling to the Baskron Pirate territory and making a deal for materials to repair the corvette. The 61st ultimately raided an Imperial heavy freighter instead.
