Banshee bird

In the current Star Wars canon, the banshee bird was mentioned in the Star Wars Roleplaying sourcebook Lead by Example, which was written by John Dunn and published by Fantasy Flight Games in 2016 for the Star Wars: Age of Rebellion roleplaying game system. The Corellian banshee bird originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it was first mentioned in the 2001 novel Darth Maul: Shadow Hunter, which was written by Michael Reaves. Lead by Example then retconned the bird depicted on the Corellian Cross, which in Legends first appeared in the 1993 video game Star Wars: X-Wing, into being a banshee bird.
