The Balmorra Run was an old smuggler's route that ran through the hazardous Kaliida Nebula, which posed dangers to travelers due to the giant space-dwelling neebray mantas that nested there. Anakin Skywalker and his Shadow Squadron took the route as a shortcut to intercept the Separatist cruiser Malevolence under the command of General Grievous before it could attack the Kaliida Shoals Medical Center during the Clone Wars.
