The Bakur Senatorial Academy was a four-year university in the Bakuran capital of Salis D'aar, aimed at preparing its students for service in the Bakuran government, especially the Bakuran Senate.
The Senate elected its own replacements, and nepotism was an affirmed practice of the Bakuran government, so it can be assumed that the children of existing senators and ministers were sent to the Academy, or at least were given first choice in admission. At any rate, this was the case for the members of the Captison family.
During the Imperial occupation of Bakura, graduates of the Academy were the sent to Imperial Center to do an additional year in postgraduate work, ensuring their indoctrination in Imperial political views.
