Tank 23 was the bacta tank in Ward 114 on the Mercy, where Kyle Katarn was healed after being injured on Nar Shaddaa. Unlike other tanks in the ward, nobody had hanged medals or notes on its surface. The cupboard attached to it contained Kyle's clothes, boots, Bryar pistol, wallet, a holocube recording with his father, a 3-D snapshot of Jan Ors, and a holodisk acquired from 8t88.
Jan Ors visited Katarn while he was there, about 12 hours after their arrival. Curious about Katarn's business on Nar Shaddaa, and why that holodisk was so important for him, she browsed among his belongings and took the disk before returning them in the cupboard. She realised that her feelings were mutual when she discovered her snapshot in his things.
