B3 battle droids were battle droids manufactured by Baktoid Combat Automata and used by the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars. B2-series super battle droids and B3 battle droids were favored over the expensive and complex E522 assassin droids. At one point, at least one was stationed near a listening station on the planet Vanqor. A curved piece of metal used in B3 repair was uncovered by Quinlan Vos when he and a Republic strike team attacked the listening post.
Temmin Wexley also found parts of a B3 while trying to sneak into the Satrap's Palace on Akiva.
