An ancient weapon designed for use by snipers, the Auto-caster was a repeating crossbow, and was very quiet while retaining excellent aim and precision. Widely regarded as an antique, the Auto-caster nevertheless remained a capable weapon, and modern reproductions were used by some security corporations. Modern reproductions possessed excellent accuracy and stopping power rivaling a blaster pistol, making the Auto-caster moderately effective against modern armors.
