In 231 BBY, Republic Senator Vaadu attended a Senate meeting concerning the upcoming Republic Fair on the Outer Rim planet Valo. He argued that the attack on Salissia was proof that the Nihil still posed a threat to the Republic Fair but was assured by Jedi Master Avar Kriss and the event's coordinator, Samera Ra-oon, that enough security would be present at the event to ensure its safety. Republic Supreme Chancellor Lina Soh agreed with their assessment, continuing the meeting despite Vaadu's concerns.
