Attack on Firevale

Prelude

The city-state Firevale posessed the only deposits of valuable Baudraxite which was crucial to the energy infrastrucure of their planet, Gansevor. Because the people of Firevale were not generous with this crucial resource many people held an ill will against them. Accordingly, when the heir to the bethunian throne Sicatra married the heir to the firevalian throne Colden, the couple felt like the bethunian people would not accept their marriage, especially if they were to have a child. As a solution Colden took his wife to the only place he knew they could be together safely, Firevale. However many Bethunians felt that their princess was kidnapped rather than having gone out of free will. Colden's mother, Keraan, also disapproved of her son's actions, still allowing them to happen regardless. Her disapproval caused the couple to feel like Keraan would not give Colden an opportunity to rule Firevale thus holding the city back. This prompted them to, with the help of Tozen and the Bethune army, launch a siege against Firevale to force the Queen to abdicate and pass the rule on to her son who in turn would negotiate a preplanned truce with Bethune, also bringing them into the trade and distribution of Baudraxite. However they did not expect Envoy Seleen to call on the Jedi for help which made the conspirators panic and causing things to spiral out of their control.

Before Jedi Intervention

The army of Bethune laid siege to Firevale for several months, blocking all communications and traffic without providing a reason why. During this time Seleen the firevalian envoy to the central government of Gansevor sent a request for Jedi aid to the office of the Frontier.

The Jedi Masters managed to convince the commander in chief of Bethune's army, Tozen, to let the aid convoy enter the city, additionally listening to his side of the story and convincing him that the Jedi want to find a peaceful solution that worked for both parties. However as soon as the Jedi left, Tozen ordered the previously hired mercenary army which was hiding behind one of the systems big moons to come to Firevale as an additional show of force. With the help of the mercenaries they launched another attack on the city's walls. Eventually General Abediah Viess decided to betray Tozen, killing him and several other of his staff to be able to destroy and plunder the whole city by themselves. They started firing over the city's walls, destroying civilian buildings and killing civilians. Through the united effort of the Jedi Masters, Sicatra and Bethune's army repelled the mercenaries' attack and they were forced off-world.

Losing trust in herself she created and took took the Barash Vow, abstaining from taking action on behalf of the order and instead listening for the will of the Force.
