Arboreal octopus


In the current Star Wars canon, the arboreal octopus was first mentioned in the 2018 reference book Star Wars: The Complete Visual Dictionary, New Edition, which was written by Pablo Hidalgo and David Reynolds. The octopi originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where they were first mentioned in the 2002 reference book Star Wars: Attack of the Clones: The Visual Dictionary, also written by Reynolds. They then appeared in Beyond the Rim, a 2013 adventure written by Sterling Hershey for Fantasy Flight Games' Star Wars: Edge of the Empire roleplaying game.
