An Imperial sector fleet was assigned to the defense of the Anoat sector in the Outer Rim Territories. It counted a number of Imperial II-class Star Destroyers, including the Dread Omen.
Following the death of Emperor Sheev Palpatine at the Battle of Endor in the year 4 ABY, the sector fleet became the backbone of Moff Ubrik Adelhard's Imperial remnant, enabling him to set up the Iron Blockade—the lockdown of the entire Anoat sector. However, a resistance group known as Uprising fought the blockade, even infiltrating the Dread Omen. Around the signing of the Galactic Concordance, the blockade had been defeated.
The Anoat sector fleet consisted of at least eight Imperial II-class Star Destroyers, including the fleet's flagship, Dread Omen.
