Nocenti was serving as editor when future Star Wars Dark Horse Comics writer and editor Randy Stradley wrote Star Wars (1977) 86 (1984). After this, she asked Stradley to write another story, this time involving Hoojibs. Stradley found this task to be too difficult and stopped working for Marvel.
In recent years, Nocenti has worked primarily with DC Comics; her latest work was on the company's Catwoman title.
