Anabar

Anabar was a male Human merchant who lived in the city of Mos Espa on the planet of Tatooine during the blockade of Naboo in 32 BBY. He sold bowls of dweezel and baskets of pallie just outside of the Mos Espa Grand Arena and was an acquaintance of fellow merchant, Grendle.

Grendle recommended Anabar to Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn when the Jedi sought something "a little more dangerous" than chokie. Anabar refused to give the Jedi Master a plasma fusion trigger or a proton missile launcher, but did not mind giving Jinn a thermal detonator instead. Despite rejecting Jinn's credits at first, he soon changed his mind thanks to his customer's mind trick.

Anabar appears in 1999's Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace video game. The player, in the guise of Jinn, may choose to talk to Anabar and acquire a detonator. This article assumes 100% game completion, and the game's strategy guide recommends the course of action for acquiring a thermal detonator.
