Amber Wing was a fighter wing of BTL Y-wing starfighters that served the Alliance to Restore the Republic on Vrogas Vas during the Galactic Civil War against the Galactic Empire and participated in the Battle of Vrogas Vas.
Amber Wing attacked by Imperial TIE fighters
In 0 ABY, Darth Vader became stranded on the planet Vrogas Vas during a battle with Rebel Alliance forces. Rebel commander Leia Organa ordered numerous Rebel forces to engage him. When Vader defeated the troops and approached Organa, she ordered Amber Wing's BTL Y-wing starfighters to bombard her location in hopes of killing Vader. However, Amber Wing was unable to carry out her orders when they were attacked by a TIE fighter squadron under the command of Imperial commander Karbin.
Amber Wing first appeared in Darth Vader (2015) 14, the fourth installment of Star Wars: Vader Down, a comic book crossover series. Vader Down, Part IV was written by Kieron Gillen and penciled by Salvador Larroca, and published on December 23, 2015.
