Alphoresis

Alphoresis was a planet located within the Grumani sector in the Outer Rim region of the galaxy.

History

Alphoresis was located in space first explored sometime between 15,000 BBY and 8000 BBY. Some eleven hundred years before Operation Influx, it was the location of a plague known as the "Breath Stealing," which killed everyone on the planet under eight years old. It became known in the Galactic Republic's history books as a plagueworld as a result.

It was repopulated afterward, but towards the end of the New Sith Wars, it fell within the Daimanate, one of the many chaotic Sith holdings within the Grumani sector. Some in the Republic speculated that the population had again been stricken with a deadly disease, this time with the Candorian plague.

By 1032 BBY, Sith Lord Ayanos Bactra had an arxeum, a mobile war sciences university, located near Alphoresis. Shortly after the Daimanate Dynamic Testing Facility was destroyed on Darkknell, he offered the arxeum to Daiman in exchange for a safe passage across Daimanate territory to strike at Vellas Pavo. Daiman agreed to the offer, but he chose the facility near Gazzari.
