Alpha Squad was a clone trooper squad of the Grand Army of the Republic that participated in the Battle of Christophsis under the leadership of High Jedi General Obi-Wan Kenobi. Alpha Squad defended the Republic's AV-7 Antivehicle Cannons against incoming Separatist Alliance forces from the south. Both Kenobi and the squad's efforts disrupted the Separatist advance, providing a successful mission. Bravo Squad was unsuccessful in stopping the Separatists from the east.
Pushing through Bravo Squad, the Separatists activated their deflector shield generator and slowly increased its diameter to keep it in front of the advancing droid forces. Eventually, the generator was destroyed and Republic reinforcements arrived, providing a victory for the Republic.
