An alien quarter was a zone on many planets that contained businesses and facilities that accommodated the needs and desires of non-Human travelers. Bonadan's Alien Quarter was the most well-known alien quarter in the galaxy due to its size and variety of diversions, in addition to its reputation as a considerably rough area.
The planet Gand also had alien quarters to accommodate the needs of oxygen-breathing visitors. These were located in the spaceports and, for most visitors, were the closest they got to Gand society.
