Admiral Harkov's fleet

During the Galactic Civil War, Imperial Navy Admiral Harkov's fleet took part in the Imperial intervention of the Sepan Civil War around 3 ABY. However, Harkov defected to the Alliance to Restore the Republic and later fought the Galactic Empire. Harkov was captured and taken prisoner by Darth Vader aboard his flagship, the Garrett, and after an interrogation, was executed. His fleet continued fighting for the Alliance even after his death, but was mopped up by the Empire.

Organization

Then fleet was under the command of Admiral Harkov, and several officers, including Vondruln, who served as his advisor when he defected. His flagship was the Victory I-class Star Destroyer Protector. Other vessels of the fleet included the Akaga, an EF76 Nebulon-B escort frigate. At least two Assassin-class corvettes, Wurger 1 and 2, were in his fleet. Other vessels in use included the Delta-class DX-9 stormtrooper transport and the Lambda-class T-4a shuttle, such as the Toten.

The starfighter contingent under his command TIE/LN starfighters, TIE/IN interceptors, TIE/sa bombers, and the new TIE/ad starfighters. After his defection to the Alliance, Harkov's squadrons were given the designation "H-" to mark them apart from Imperial squadrons. Squadrons under his command included H-Alpha Squadron, a regular TIE fighter unit, H-Delta Squadron, a TIE interceptor squadron, H-Beta Squadron, H-Zeta Squadron, and H-Eta Squadron were TIE bomber squadrons, while TIE advanced fighters were flown by H-Gamma Squadron, H-Delta Squadron, and H-Beta Squadron. Interestingly, the idea of using a letter designation at the beginning of squadron names was later used by Grand Admiral Demetrius Zaarin when he went rogue.

Behind the scenes

The fleet made its first and only appearance in Star Wars: TIE Fighter, a 1994 computer game.
