17786 first appeared in the fighting game Star Wars: Masters of Teräs Käsi, as a secret character. However, they were never given a name nor appeared in any other Star Wars-related works until the release of the second part of the blog Barely Tolerable: Alien Henchmen of the Empire. Similarly, because they were a secret character, it was left ambiguous as to whether they were aligned with Lyn or not, as well as whether they were canonical, until the same blog established that they were one of Lyn's students. They had at least two skins, the standard Stormtrooper attire and the Scout trooper uniform.
